Charter Guide - FAQs

How does the charter work?
More Magic becomes just like your own private yacht with your own crew. We will aim to build an itinerary around where you would like to go and what you want to do. We’ll also prepare your food and drinks just the way you like them!

Our crew is highly experienced and should be utilised for suggestions on creating an itinerary that meets all your party’s needs. Although highly flexible the Skipper will have the final say in any decision – his concern will always be for the comfort and safety of all the guests and the yacht.

Who should charter More Magic?
Chartering a fully crewed yacht can offer the holiday of a lifetime to a couple, family or group of friends. You don't need to have any previous sailing knowledge as your crew are on hand to ensure you get the most out of your experience. We welcome children of eight years and above on board More Magic.

How much does a More Magic charter cost?
Rates vary according to the season, the sailing region and the length of the charter. Rates start from $22,500 per week during the Caribbean season.

Please note that rates in the US and Mediterranean will differ.

What’s included?
The price is inclusive for the Caribbean season and covers the services of the crew and the running costs of the yacht, including fuel. All your food is included as is the use of the vessel’s tender and water sports equipment. The yachts bar, dockage and local cruising taxes are charged at an additional cost as is the use of the yachts communication systems.

Please note that rates and charterers expenses differ for the US and Mediterranean season.

What should I pack?
We would suggest you keep it simple and pack light. Remember to bring bathing suits and swimwear, wraps, shorts and t-shirts, high factor sun cream and sandals, long sleeve shirt or windbreaker for the windier evenings.

When you pack there is no need to bring towels we have those all for you and we also supply hairdryers in each cabin too! We kindly ask that you do not bring dive tanks or any hard luggage; due to limited storage onboard we ask that your luggage is soft and collapsible.

Customs and immigration
You will need to present a valid passport and visas (if appropriate) when entering and exiting any foreign port. Your passport should be valid for at least 6 months.

There may be small fees such as departure taxes to be paid. Immigration officials will want to know where you are staying, how long you are staying, and may ask for proof of a return ticket. It is important to answer these questions carefully since staying beyond your stated departure date will result in a significant amount of hassle with the immigration authorities.
Do not bring anything illegal or over the customs limits into a foreign country. It is never worth the risk of spoiling your holiday.

Other expenses
You will need to have money available for transfers to and from the airport plus to cover any departure taxes.

Any activities ashore are at your own expense. Souvenirs can be purchased on shore or from passing boats.

Crew gratuities
Your crew are exceptional and we are sure that they will exceed your expectations. It is normal throughout the charter world to leave a gratuity of between 15%-20% of the total charter cost.
